Amazing Trip
Climb Chimborazo, the highest volcano in Ecuador and reach the closest point to the sun in this 2-day climbing tour. Located 150 km southwest of Quito within the Chimborazo Province close Riobamba City.
For many years European climbers thought it was the highest mountain in world. In fact, it is the highest mountain if measured from the centre of the Earth, and it’s the mountain closest to the sun due to the Earth’s wider shape.The first ascent was made by the famous expeditionary Edward Whymper back in 1892.

Description
For climbing Chimborazo Volcano two days will be necessary and over all a good physical condition, in Ecuador the
mountains aren´t technical but they are tough. Before the trip we would like to be sure about your acclimatization. Please dont hesitate on contacting us
our office team will help you with.
On the first day we meet in our office where our mountaineering Guide will help you with the instruction and the equipment. (Internal and external layer, harness, Crampons, Boots, Rope, Ice Axe) after this
we departure toward Riobamba in around 1hr we start face the giant waiting for us ! in around 2:30 we wil reach the first refuge at 4800mt from where we will do a Hikking
the second refuge 5000mt. where we will get a bed and then we have something light to eat.
In the afternoon we will have ice school for learning some basic techniques: how to use the ice axes, how to use the crampons, and so on. !
in the evening
we will get a good dinner before we go resting until midnight. At midnight we wake up and get something warm before we get ready to star our climbing.
From this point takes up to 6 hrs to get the summit at 6,263mt- after our climbing the return to the refuge where we rest, have something light and warm and then returning to Banos City
Remember on the mountain there are two things that make us not to get the summit. One is the Weather another issue is the Physical Condition, over all. Our guide will always do the best for
helping on your wishes but protecting your integrity.

Nos encontramos en la ofina de Amazing Trip 15min antes de la salida programada.
Registro y Control de Equipo
Nuestro guia nos ayuda con el registro y control de Equipo.
Baños - Chimborazo
Cuando estemos listos empezamos nuestro viaje desde Baños hasta la Reserva Chimborazo.
Reserva Chimborazo
Alcanzamos el primer Refugio 4800mt en carro, caminata hasta 5100mt Laguna Condorcocha.
Descenso
Despues de visitar Condorcocha, nos dirigimos al refugio Whymper, donde descansamos un momento para continuar nuestro descenso.
Descenso Bicicleta
Desde los 4800mt podemos usar bicicleta hasta el Ingreso del Chimborazo.
Retorno
Cuando hayamos realizado todas nuestras actividades empezamos nuestro retorno a Baños de Agua Santa.

Volcán Chimborazo ?
El Chimborazo El Castillo is the most popular route up the volcano. This route is usually climbed December to February and June to September. This route involves climbing the west side of the volcano. The route starts at The route starts at Whymper hut to a saddle above El Castillo. From the saddle, there is a glacier ridge. Then climbers go to the Veintemilla summit. Veintemilla summit is often the turnaround point for climbers.
